Buying a Portable DVD Player
The price of a portable DVD player can range between $80 and $1000 and it directly related to screen size and additional options or features. Only you, the buyer, can analyze what features do you need and how much are you willing to pay for them. Here are some things you must remember when buying a portable DVD player.
The most important thing of all is the battery. A portable player that can play a movie for 30 minutes is not portable any more. We recommend you to choose players with Lithium-ion batteries and one that will run for at least three hours until recharged. This has a drawback as well. These players are slightly heavier due to bigger battery size.
Another important thing is the screen size, resolution and brightness. Don`t choose a player with a screen smaller than seven inches diagonally. A bigger screen means a heavier player and a shorter battery life, so bigger isn’t equal to better in this case; don`t forget that you want a portable player and one with 12 inches screen or bigger isn’t quite portable. Another problems with these portable DVD players with large screens is that they can broke pretty easily if you drop them by mistake.
Always examine the players warranty conditions. Don`t ever choose a player with less than 12 months warranty. Most likely they are cheap and will broke pretty fast.
Headphones are another important part when choosing a portable DVD player since you`ll use them almost every time when listening or watching something on your player. High quality headphones will improve your listening experience and will help you not hearing what other people are doing next to you.
There are many things to remember when you look for a portable player but we covered only the most important ones here.
